However, the recent surge in violence has raised concerns about the intentional targeting of Palestinian civilians, destruction of homes and infrastructure, and forced displacement of communities.
Since October 7th, the world has witnessed a significant escalation of violence and human rights abuses in Palestine, with allegations of ethnic cleansing and genocide mounting against Israel.
The Israeli government's actions in Gaza have been widely condemned as a genocide by experts, Governments, UN agencies, and non-governmental organizations.
The International Criminal Court (ICC) has also recently announced a preliminary investigation into potential war crimes, with some officials and experts characterizing the situation as genocide.
In May, ICC chief prosecutor Karim Khan applied for arrest warrants for Netanyahu and Gallant for the genocide and war crimes committed during Israel’s war on Gaza.
The ongoing invasion and bombing of Gaza have resulted in thousands of civilian casualties, including women, children, and journalists - (Nearly one journalist a day), with over 40,000 confirmed deaths, 16,456 of them children.
In addition, at least another 10,000 people are missing and believed to be buried under rubble in Gaza, the Gaza government’s media office said. And more than 92,400 have been injured.
1.8 million people – almost 80 percent of the population – are now homeless and seeking refuge wherever they can.
KEEP IN MIND THE MEDIAN AGE OF PALESTINE IS 19 YEARS OLD!!!
The ICJ has ruled that Palestinians have a "plausible right to be protected from genocide" and ordered Israel to prevent further acts of genocide, allow humanitarian aid into Gaza, and increase aid during the Rafah offensive.
However, Israel has rejected the court's orders, accusing it of antisemitism...
The destruction of essential infrastructure, including hospitals, healthcare workers, and culturally significant buildings, has exacerbated the humanitarian crisis, with an enforced blockade contributing to starvation and the threat of famine.
Since October 7th, Israel has committed numerous war crimes, including:
- Intentional targeting of civilians and infrastructure, suggesting an "intent to destroy" Gaza's population, meeting the legal threshold for genocide
- Rape and sexual violence against Palestinian prisoners, including documented cases of abuse
Which the Israeli public approve of...
- Indiscriminate bombing of residential areas, hospitals, and schools
- Enforcement of a crippling blockade, exacerbating humanitarian crises
- Extrajudicial killings and maiming of unarmed protesters
These atrocities have been widely condemned by the international community, further solidifying concerns for the genocide.
The Gaza genocide is not an isolated incident, but rather the culmination of decades of displacement, occupation, and marginalization.
As we mourn the lives lost and forever changed, we must also commit to action.
We must demand accountability from those responsible, support the Palestinian people's right to self-determination, and work towards a future where such atrocities are never repeated.
The time for silence is over; The time for justice is now.
The international community must acknowledge this reality and take immediate action to protect Palestinian lives and hold perpetrators accountable.
Anything less would be complicity in one of the darkest chapters of modern history.
